When is Fondue Chalet happening?
We’ll be serving up cheesy goodness from May 15th to June 22nd, 2025. Perfect timing for Melbourne’s winter chills!
How much does it cost?
The experience costs $99 per person. If you’d like to enhance your experience, you can also add a chocolate fondue for an additional fee: $59 for a 6-person chalet or $79 for an 8-person chalet.
How long does each session last?
Each booking lasts for 1 hour in the chalet and 30 minutes in the firepit for some toasty marshmallows — plenty of time to dip, sip, and enjoy the alpine vibes. But if you’re getting the chocolatey goodness of our oh-so-rich chocolate fondue… it’s a total of 2 hours. Up to you!
How many people fit in a chalet?
We offer chalets for up to 6 people and for up to 8 people. Please note that the 8-person chalets are also accessible. This provides comfortable options for all guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
What is included in the package?
Your Fondue Chalet experience includes:
– A glass of warm mulled wine (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) upon arrival per person
– A private chalet for your group
– A Fondue Savoyarde dinner (*four French cheeses, charcuterie, pickles & crusty bread for dipping)
– A private firepit for roasting marshmallows
– A marshmallow skewer to toast over the fire.
What is the Godiva After Dark Chocolate Fondue?
The Godiva After Dark Chocolate Fondue is an extra that can be add on few sessions. It's an extra fee of 59$ for the whole table of 6, and 79$ for the whole table of 8.

Is there a menu?
If you’re talking about extras… absolutely! We have additional winter cocktails, curated wines, and decadent chocolate fondue available for select sessions. Stay tuned for the official menu!
Is there a gluten free option?
Yes! We offer gluten-free bread as an alternative. Just let us know when you book or upon arrival.
Is there a vegetarian option?
Unfortunately, nope – our Fondue Savoyarde is traditionally served with a charcuterie platter and a basket of bread. However, if you’d prefer to skip the charcuterie and just enjoy the cheese fondue with bread, let our team know when booking!
Is there a vegan option?
Unfortunately, no. Our fondue is made with a rich blend of cheeses, all of which contain dairy.
Is there a pescatarian option?
Our Fondue Savoyarde includes a charcuterie platter, but if you’d like to skip the meat and enjoy just the cheese fondue with bread, just let our team know when you arrive!
Is the fondue safe for pregnant guests?
Our fondue contains cheese, white wine, kirsch (cherry liquor), and a deli meat platter. For specific advice regarding pregnancy and food safety, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional or referring to government guidelines!
Can I get a non-alcoholic drink instead of mulled wine?
Of course! We’ll be offering a delicious non-alcoholic mulled wine option for those who prefer it.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes! Spots are limited, and our mini chalets book out fast. We highly recommend reserving your experience ahead of time.
Fondue Chalet is at Fed Square, which is in Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone! This means you can hop on a tram and travel for free within the city grid. No myki needed—just sit back and enjoy the ride.
If you’re traveling from outside the Free Tram Zone, make sure to tap your myki at the reader when starting and finishing your trip. Look for the Free Tram Zone signs at tram stops to check if you’re within the boundary!

Can I take photos?
Yes! In fact, we encourage it, our chalet vibes are très Instagrammable. Just make sure your fondue fork isn’t in mid-dip when you snap your shot!
Is there an age limit?
Guests of all ages are welcome, but alcohol will only be served to those over 18 (ID required). Kids under 6 years old can enter for free, and kids 6 years old and above are priced the same as adults. Please note that the minimum price should still be for a party of six - $99 x 6. In this case, for a group of 6 adults, the two children under 6 years old can come and dine for free!
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, no. While we love furry friends, there are firepits throughout the chalet experience, making it unsafe for pets. We appreciate your understanding!
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Our 8pp chalet (larger chalet) are accessible, when you login into your booking platform after purchasing, you will able to tick the wheelchair accessible box. We will then ensure your group of 6pp or 8pp gets an accessible chalet, feel free to reach out to our contact email if you have additional concern or enquiries about your accessible experience at Fondue chalet. Once booked, you will have access to a customer platform allowing you to add any of your of our guests information. From there you will be able to ticked a wheelchair access required box.
What is the refund policy?
Cancellations are allowed up to 10 days before your selected date. The deposit is non-refundable, but you can reschedule your booking. No-shows forfeit the deposit. If we cancel due to weather, you’ll receive a voucher. External cancellations: you may reschedule up to 10 days before your booking.
