Savoy, 1650s – winters are long and cold, fresh food scarce. All farmers have aged cheese, stale bread and local white wine. They melt it all together over the fire. Warm, filling, they’ll do it again for the next 400 year.
The Cheese
Four French Alpine cheeses in one pot: Comté from the Jura, Beaufort and Emmental de Savoie, and Raclette de Savoie for its buttery depth. Each crafted in the French Alps.
The Ritual
The bubbling pot sits at the centre of your table. Spear your bread, dip in a slow swirling motion until perfectly coated. One golden rule: never lose your bread in the pot!
